SERC
In this competition there is a staged incident, immediately after the opening ceremony of the 2009 EJC. Teams of 4 athletes have to save as many subjects as they can within a 2 minute time limit and bring them safely ‘on shore’.  It is important to choose priorities and have many life saving skills at hand.

The sensation of POOL EVENTS
In the new ‘Pieter van den Hoogenband swimming stadium’ situated in the national swimming complex of ‘De Tongelreep’ in Eindhoven the pool events of this EJC take place on the Saturday. This venue offers everything to make an explosion of speed and skills possible.

In this pool competition we will have 4 individual events:

• 50m manikin carry;
• 100m manikin carry with fins;
• 100m rescue medley;
• 100m manikin tow with fins;

and 3 team events:

• 4 x 25m manikin relay;
• 4 x 50m rescue medley relay;
• line throw.

Using the electronic timing equipment and all the other state of the art facilities in the swimming stadium, this shall be a top event with new European records.

The power of OCEAN EVENTS
Why not say yes to competitions in open water and know the sensation of life saving skills in the open.
In this EJC there will be the following spectacular events::

• Run-Swim-Run;
• Board Race;
• Beach Flags;
• Rescue Tube Race;
• Board rescue Race.

On the Sunday in the EJC schedule the heats and finals of this part of the championship will be run. Timing an event is impossible in this section of the tournament. Circumstances like weather, wind en currents in the water will make a difference in every heat, so only the fastest of a heat go through to the finals.
