Contact information With this project KNBRD wants to promote life saving sport, but also life guarding at beaching and in pools, life saving education, flood disaster assistance, incidental life guarding and learning to swim. Education | The main goal of the Dutch Life Saving Federation is to educate as many people as possible in swimming and life saving. About 180 life saving clubs are active in teaching Life Saving to young people and adults. |
Life Guards | On beaches but also in boats on the water members of the federation are active as life guards. This mainly in the summer period cooperating with professional organizations to assure safe water recreation for everyone.

Assisting in flood disasters | In the national plan for disaster control in case of flooding, the life saving federation has the task to evacuate people in direct danger and to assist in carrying people with special boats to further transport by ambulance. |
Competitions | The main goal of life saving competitions is to keep young and adult life savers trained. There are competitions in pools and open water for all age categories on local, regional and national level. A national team represents the federation in European and World Championships.  |
| Volunteers | Reddingsbrigades Nederland is an organization run by volunteers. So life guards, educators, board members, judges and officials are all active on a voluntary basis. Their main ‘payment’ is satisfaction and joy of the people they help, guide or educate.  | |
